Special Interest Clubs
Meets every 3rd Wednesday of the month from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Ages: 16 and up. Facilitated by Karen Krohner of Beads 2 Wear. Bead in the company of other beading fans. Help is available, if needed. Register to attend at the Circulation Desk.
COLORING, COFFEE AND CLASSICS
Meets every Wednesday from 9:15 – 10:30 a.m. in Cafe Lee on the 2nd floor. For ages 18 and up. No registration necessary. Studies show coloring can have a calming effect on the adult mind and helps promote overall wellness. Take a break and spend an hour coloring while you listen to classical music and enjoy a complimentary cup of coffee.
Meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Facilitator: Brenda Moore. Swap coupons, exchange ideas and strategies for using coupons, and maintain the Coupon Swap Box in the library. Bring a pair of scissors to clip coupons during our lively and informative discussions. Meets every Monday from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Facilitator: Cathy Layton. Bring your new or unfinished projects to work on while spending time with others who share your interest. The club is not intended for beginners – for those wanting to learn how to crochet, please consider attending an Introduction to Crochet class offered periodically throughout the year.
GO GREEN CLUB
Meets the 3rd Monday of the month from 7:00 – 8:45 p.m. The mission of the PTPL GO Green Club is to provide the community with educational resources through programs, library materials, and volunteer activities to help create a more environmentally- friendly and responsible lifestyle. LENSSHOOTERS PHOTO CLUB
Meets the 2nd Wednesday of the month, September – May, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. The Western Pennsylvania Lensshooters Photography Club, begun in 1981, is dedicated to providing a forum where members can learn from guest speakers and from other members techniques to improve their photography — both film and digital. An annual juried exhibition provides an opportunity for members to display their photographic skills. Annual dues are $15.00.
“ROOTS” GENEALOGY CLUB
Meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Facilitator: Cathy Pigford. Share resources, information and methods for exploring your family’s history. All are welcome. Memorabilia and other items of interest are encouraged. Register at the Circulation Desk.

You can start your own art collection, connect with the past, or travel to far and mysterious lands by joining the Stamp Club. Wii SPORTS FOR ADULTS
Meets every Wednesday from 10:30 a.m – Noon. Do you love to golf or play tennis but don’t want to deal with the weather? Like to bowl but not keen on lifting a heavy bowling ball? Stay active in the comfort of the library. Use the large plasma TV and Nintendo Wii in the Teen Room to stay fit. Library staff will walk you through the use of the Wii-mote, a light-weight, motion-detecting controller that you swing like a golf club, baseball bat, bowling ball or tennis racquet. Bring a friend or two and give it at try. No registration necessary.
WORLD WAR II DISCUSSION GROUP
Meets the last Wednesday of the month from 11:30 a.m – 1:00 p.m. Facilitator: George Dvorznak. This monthly discussion series features topics pertaining to World War II. Participants meet to share their knowledge accumulated over the years through personal experience, reading, historical programs, and other resources. Register at the Circulation Desk.

Cost: $20.00 per month for the Wednesday program, no charge for the Monday program

The Writer’s Workshop focuses on writing for children and teenagers. Anyone with an interest in joining is asked to contact Pat Easton at email@example.com. Both fiction and non-fiction are acceptable as well as work for the magazine or book market industry.
