To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Tet Offensive and to delve more deeply into our veterans’ experiences and perspectives, the Peters Township Public Library in partnership with the Veterans Breakfast Club will hold a panel discussion about Ken Burns’ landmark series “The Vietnam War.” The panel will feature four Vietnam veterans and will be moderated by Todd DePastino.
Todd DePastino is founder and executive director of the Veterans Breakfast Club, a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to sharing veterans’ stories with the public. Over 7,000 different people have participated in the Veterans Breakfast Club’s programs over the past ten years. Todd is the author of the award winning Bill Mauldin: A Life Up Front and six other books. He has a Ph.D. in American History from Yale University and has taught at several places, including Waynesburg University where in 2008 he won the Lucas-Hathaway Award for Teaching Excellence.
